Iowa Kidney Physicians is a trusted clinic on the forefront of innovation, evolving and expanding across Iowa. Their commitment to advancing healthcare has earned the trust of their patients and their loved ones for over 40 years.   

The Challenge 

Due to growth in their organization, they needed to relocate a smaller satellite office that they had outgrown. They secured a much larger location, which required an entire office move.   

This was an expansion from a business perspective. By dramatically increasing the size of the office, they could now serve more clients. The challenge was to utilize that space to its full potential.  

The Solution 

Due to a long-established partnership with WIN, they engaged WIN ITS as their partner to do 100% of the IT infrastructure planning and migration for the new location.  

We helped them add more computing equipment, workstations, replaced the phone system and integrated it with home base. This planning involved discussions with the new property manager, since they renovated the space. We were involved with construction and advised on where access points needed to go to ensure they were set up to optimize their technology.   

We had one week once construction was complete to get all items relocated. This included moving existing equipment and installing new technology.  

The Results 

On opening day, they were up and running with no disruption in business. WIN took care of the entire IT move, so the client didn’t have to worry about those details. The day they opened we had a technician on site to make sure they were supported. After the project, the WIN Project team sent a video to IKP thanking them for their business.   

WIN designed and procured everything, including workstations and access points, so they took advantage of our advantageous pricing on switches, wall outlets, and other technology.  

A couple of days after the new location opened, we brought in donuts to celebrate their move. Our partnership and close relationship established the trust for them to rely on us instead of calling someone else.   

WIN is a true partner and Iowa Kidney Physicians was happy with the results. Our degree of involvement headed off a lot of issues that arose with the construction and we were able to stave off having to react to issues after the fact once they were “go live”. IKP put 100% of their trust and confidence in us.   

It was a pleasure to build that relationship and be involved in each step of the planning. Sales engineers made the promise and the implementation team delivered it.   

Beyond the technology, this was an excellent example of trust-building and partnership.
