In May of 2022, WIN Technology hosted its first annual Imagine Summit. The summit is an event geared towards engaging and inspiring the next generation of women to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and STEM related careers.
Now more than ever, a career in STEM offers abundant opportunities for our young women. Educators, mentors, parents, and business professionals can proudly echo that STEM education can promote ongoing academic success in the classroom, improve critical thinking skills, problem solving and advanced exploratory learning possibilities. Most importantly, it increases the chances for our young female students to shape our world and allow job stability in an increasing tech-focused marketplace.
In 2023, the second annual Imagine Summit was even bigger and more impactful than the first. WIN welcomed over fifty 7-10th grade students from eight different school districts to our headquarters. The day included a discussion of STEM career pathways, an imagine and goal setting activity, and breakout sessions that included robotics, networking, cybersecurity, architecture, and a Challenges of Women in STEM Panel.
