Teaching Skills, One Lemonade at a Time

Volunteers running the lemonade day stand during the Boys and Girls Club event

This past August, a few members of the WIN team volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club’s 15th annual Squeeze The Day Lemonade Day. This community event gave students the opportunity to run lemonade stands at local businesses, helping them learn key skills in entrepreneurship, money management, marketing, and teamwork. While the students were responsible for running the stands, WIN volunteers provided support by assisting with tasks like handling money and pouring lemonade when needed.

The event not only raised funds for the local Boys & Girls Club but also fostered valuable educational experiences for the students. It was exciting to see the kids’ enthusiasm, their friendly competition, and their sense of accomplishment as they worked together.
