Preserving Our Community’s Natural Spaces

Each year WIN employees look forward to volunteering in United Way’s Day of Caring event, where hundreds of individuals across the greater Chippewa Valley volunteer their time to give back to local non-profits that help support our local communities.

This year, a group of 15 WIN employees participated in the 2024 United Way Day of Caring by volunteering at Beaver Creek Reserve. Beaver Creek has nearly nine miles of trails that wind through their 400 acres of diverse habitats. Our team spent the day working on various activities, including pulling apart old stairs and hiking through the trails to cut back overgrown brush. This effort helped maintain the beauty and accessibility of the reserve’s hiking trails for all its visitors.

It was a rewarding day of teamwork, physical effort, and giving back to the community, all while supporting the preservation of one of our area’s cherished natural spaces. We’re proud to have contributed to this meaningful cause alongside United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley!
